Position in the Sanhedrin's ranks of Pharisee lineage, he flaunted his ties to Abraham-the righteous one. Night time drew him to Jesus, for a long talk of salvation and such. Nicodemus didn't say much. Just listened. But took more in than anticipated, for he assisted with Jesus burial. He and Joseph of Arimathea, wrapped Jesus body in spices and linen cloth. They followed Jewish tradition after Pilate gave them permission. They put His body in a sepulchers unused. Finally-at peace from all the abuse.
