Poems

For Heaven's Sake
It's the words of my mother,
When her poor heart I'd break,
Saying, "Honey, what are you doing?
For Heaven's sake!"

I will always remember,
For the guilt I can't take.
Now, I know what I'm doing
For Heaven's sake.

What are you doing
For Heaven's sake?
Is it for Jesus
You give and not take?

Are you building a mansion,
Where glory is great?
Tell me, what are you doing
For Heaven's sake?

When the road that's not taken
Leads to Heaven above,
Make it the main road
And pave it with love.

Be sure to tell others
It's the right road to take,
So they'll know what they're doing
For Heaven's sake.

What are you doing
For Heaven's sake?
Is it for Jesus
You give and not take?

Are you building a mansion,
Where glory is great?
Tell me, what are you doing
For Heaven's sake?
