| Lighter Side of New Year |
The black eyed peas are cooking. Auld Lang Syne fills the air. I've got the Alka Seltzer, waiting For the headache I know will be there. |
The fireworks will not stop popping. Shouts of Happy New Year will blast. The noise will kill my ear drums And make hearing a thing of the past. |
I'll raise my glass and drink a toast To all my endless resolutions. I'll eat the peas and take Gas-X For one of my quick fix solutions. |
Then, I'll say, "Good night," to all And I'll slip quietly off to bed. For, I've had enough excitement And New Year's bubbles filling my head. |
