Poems

Tears are falling from Heaven
It's dreary out, today,
And it's only half past seven.
Are you sad, today, Lord,
For tears are falling from Heaven?

Has the world gone and shamed you?
Have your sheep gone astray?
Is there something I can do, Lord,
To dry your tears away?

For as time goes on, it gets more dreary.
It's already five 'til eleven.
I look outside and, still I see,
Tears are falling from Heaven.

Does it help to say, "I love you?"
Will that bring back your smile?
Will it stop the tears from falling,
If even for a while?

Still sitting by my window
At half past seven,
I'll be sad, too, Lord.
For, tears are falling from Heaven.
