| A Place For Us |
|
All God ever needed Was to keep us safely Tucked beneath His wing, Until we are given our own; To lift our hearts to His heights, In the wonders of heaven, Perfectly at home. All God ever wanted Was to keep watch Until we can see beyond To His place of heights, His heaven; Where we'll be at home. All God ever needed Was to teach us to fly On eagles wings, strong and sure, With enduring faith Against the winds of time And steady currents Until we'll feel at home. All God ever hoped for us So that, one day soon, We will be fragile no more Was to keep us from falling But living forever In His heights. For then, we'll be at home. |
