| In His Light |

We can try so hard to make it right So life will work out good; Apply some principles, make some plans, And fix it if we could. But, then, how soon we come to see That, no matter how hard we try, The situation does not change; Though we may plead and pray and cry. And, when we ask God all about it, He says, "You can trust in Me. I can see the bigger picture. There's more that has to be. You just get safe, within My love, And lay aside your fear. Live in My light. Trust all I say. Believe that I am near. It's because of pain, not in spite of, That My grace will shine through you. My joy will overflow to others, From obeying Me all through. I will make sure your needs are met, As you give deep within your heart. I will increase your store of righteousness If, from self, you part." |
