As I Saw A Lovely Sunrise
Sitting upon a hill, above the valley, I saw a beautiful sunrise...
I then thought of our Christ, in Heaven, and peace filled my teary, eyes.
I saw gentleness... as I thought of the Father and the Son,
Knowing inside my heart that they are the awesome, saving ones.

I walked down into the valley, and saw the dew 'pon the grass...
Old Sol was coming up fast... drying the dew that looked like, glass.
I think of the wonder, when Christ arose that awesome, day...
Faithful in all that He was... anxious, and willing, to pave the way.

Upon a cross they, (of evil,) nailed Him, (spikes in his feet, and hands.)
Praise God that He was with Him... with the entire Angel, bands.
Come that day, of His return, let us welcome Him... sweet tears shed...
Knowing, this sweet Savior once returned to Heaven, from the dead.

He will be here soon; we'll be looking for His sweet return, with great, joy.
He was the SON- rise of long, ago; Gods' own little baby boy.
Sent here to help us ponder, upon our fate, in that glorious, and fearful, day.
For those who accept Him, it will be... glorious, for the fearful, the other way.

Wont you come join us, who, watch for His wondrous coming again?
He will welcome you with loving, nail, scared hands, and forgive your sin.
I met Him long ago, in a little Church upon a hill, from a running river...
Come meet him today; don't wait too late... your soul He might sever.
