Poems

Because He lives Forever
Troubles will be here, always. We cannot escape it seems.
But, I know my Saviour lives forever. This is ever in my dreams.
He came and died for you and me. That old Cross He chose to bear
And, upon His Glorious head, a crown of thorns He chose to wear.

But because He lives forever, I know He waits for me
Far beyond the sky, in that fair city of glorious victory ...
That I may come to meet Him, up yonder in glory some sweet day;
Because He lives forever and because He paved the way.

Oh, death, where is thy sting? Oh, grave, where is thy victory?
This Savior of mine lives forever. He went down in history.
He's the Lord of Lord and King of Kings. He lives on and on.
Thus, one day, I'll meet Him, up yonder, in my Heavenly home.

He eagerly awaits me. In my heart, I know this is so very true.
Won't you come and go with me? I know He awaits you, too.
Beyond a river to overflowing, water of crystal blue, I see in my mind,
All ready for our mansions built without hands of man-kind.

He's the fairest of all, this loving King who forgives my sin.
That's why I go to Him on my knees, again and again.
One day, He will bring me there. This I know, inside my heart, is true.
And, because He lives forever, I want to be there, with Him, too.
