| He Gave Me A Mission |
|
I realize it's late in life, but My Lord gave me a mission to do; To write and send to the lonely And the hurt His word so true. Maybe the blind in life can leave The strife and come to Him there, As they kneel down at the Cross In earnest and sincere Prayer. He will meet you there, so happy To have you, with Heaven's band. You will rise up rejoicing, once You meet Him and understand. He's the living Saviour, born of a virgin, And hung on a cross for me. And, He gave me a mission to carry out, Before I go there to see ... All the wonder of glory, that I know Is there to have and to hold When we accept this Saviour with love That's pure and oh, so bold. He said go and tell the others what befell you this wondrous today, How you have been saved by grace and will never for a sin, have to pay. I know Heaven is a wonder, with such an awesome, ruling King, Who loves us and wants us only To worship Him and gladness He will bring. Into the hearts of so many, each one Who accepts God's only Son, For He's eternal life, throughout the ages, And God's Son is the one. He bids me to take a mission, With Him at my side, going on before, And in all Holiness, writing and Telling His story, more and more. How He gave up His life, how He suffered, Died and then arose again, To bring salvation to every child living, Every woman and man. He's the reason we celebrate Easter, it was when he came out of the tomb, Rising into Heaven with His Father, Born of a little virgin's womb. Through the Holy Spirit, who came upon her To plant the wondrous seed, Who would live and rule Heaven and earth Forever, how wondrous indeed! |
