| Hide Our Sorrows Under Thy Wing |
|
It is of the Lords' mercies that we are not consumed of heart. Do hide our sorrows, under Thy wing and from us do not part. We know there is a time to weep, and a time to laugh, 'O my soul. A time to mourn, and a time to dance, Lord, Thou art our goal. Do not, depart from us, Lord, lest, how shall we ever live in peace? As, evil abounds with a force, too mighty to bear, without a cease. Hide all our sorrows, under Thy wings, and cast the evil away ... That we may be able to dwell, in Thy love forever, in that day. There is a time to love, we know and a time to hate, to our dismay. A time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away. A time to rend, and a time to sew, to be silent, and a time to speak. 'O hide our sorrows, under Thy wing, sweet, Lord, help us to be meek. Thou hath seen our travail, dear Lord ... Give us your blessings today . . . Let Thy mercies be upon our hearts, as we travel the long, hard way There is a time of war, and a time of peace ... sometimes we sing. Especially, sweet Lord, when you hide our sorrows under Thy wing. |
