| In The Cool of the Day |
|
There, in the garden of Eden, all was perfect to see. After making Adam and Eve, God thought on how it would be ... Walking in the cool of the evening, talking with Adam and Eve, How they should live and on God's word, truly believe. I try to imagine the peace and Grace that were there; No pain, no worry, not even sorrow or ever a tear. God's told them, of the tree of knowledge, eat not. But, Satan and temptation overcame them. On the world became a blot. But, there will be an Eden, again, with God overseeing with love. There'll be a river to overflowing in Heaven, up above, With the purest water ever, clear as crystal blue; As we walk on streets of gold and eat from the Tree of Life, too. One day, tomorrow, when we cross that golden shore, We'll see things of beauty never thought of, then even more; Things of the Spirit, things so very beloved in every way ... When we walk with and talk with our Master, in the cool of the day. And, while we wait to go there, before the holy angels come to call, Let us be prepared, giving our life to Jesus; giving Him our all. There will be no sun to shine on us, no need for a moon in the sky to stay. For, Jesus will give us light, as we, with Him, walk in the cool of the day. |
