| In The Newness of My Mind |
|
As I sit here, with all the newness of my mind, thinking on, Of my Lord, how Thou hast brought it all together, my life here at home; Thou gave me words of sweetness to twirl inside my head and heart, To ponder the things which are important and the things that I must let part. It seems so mystic, somehow. My vocabulary isn't very great, Just seems my Lord gave me words to write, as only He could dictate. But, in the greatness of tomorrow, if ever I can help my fellow man, Give me the words of greatness, Lord, to send to this and other lands. Seems, I always know when Thou art near me. I feel this, oh, so gentle glow And the urge to sit and write, even as the wind doth gently blow The cobwebs from my mind. Help me clearly think, as You would have me do, So I might write of the many blessings in my life and of Heaven, too. In that great tomorrow, when the softness of Thine own voice I do hear, Help me, Lord, to closely listen, as Thou doth bring Thy words near Into this heart of mine. Let me listen carefully, hear Thy voice crystal clear, That where Thou art, oh, Lord, let me also be with Thee up there ... Up above the skies of blue, in the place where Heaven doth abide, And (with the help of Thee, my Father) help me to others guide Unto the utmost of Thy being. How great is Thy Holy name, today. Help me, my Lord, to bring with Thy sweet words, others, with Thee to stay. |
