In The Stillness
Sometimes in the night, when I can't sleep, eyes open wide,
And in the stillness of the midnight, I need Jesus by my side.
All I need do, is call on Him. He's ever ready, with pure sweet love ...
Coming from Heaven, right into my soul, from up above.

I can talk to Him about my dreams, my worries and my woes.
Although, when I tell it all, I know He already knows,
Because He is Lord. He knows my every thought and deed.
In His word, He says He already knows my every need.

But it's so sweet to talk with Him, in the stillness of the night,
When the worries of the world are more dim, or even out of sight.
He gives to my heart peace, and assuring hope for tomorrow -
Even when troubles abound, and my heart is full of sorrow.

In the stillness of the night, when I talk with Him, heart open wide
Knowing whatever is worrying me, He will always be by my side.
He gives hope to my aching heart; on Him I can always depend,
And in so doing, it makes me more readily, try, my sins to amend.

At midnight, stillness is all about me, through the window, a gentle breeze.
All things with my Lord are so solemn, in every way, just Him to please.
He is ever my redeemer, in this great and wonderful land
Yes, He is my redeemer and holds closely, my soul in His hand.
