| Take My Burdens |
|
Lord, I know we are prone to hang on to every problem, Near to the point of making them become, in our life, an emblem. Help me give my worries, Lord, unto Thee, as you can truly see From both behind and tomorrow how all things will be. I pray for the faith in Thee, Lord, of just a mustard seed. Knowing to give you this burden will ease my aching heart, indeed. I know, Lord, that you know all, see all, and are all to me and mine. So, help me not to linger, but give this burden unto my Savior Divine. We give up burdens, then take them back, again, Lord, to our despair. When, if we'd just totally give it to Thee, Thou would wholly repair As though it never was ~ as to where it would show a patch, if by me. And, every day, I would miss not having the total trust in Thee. Take my cares upon Thine own self, Lord. Do with them as you desire And I will be free of a burden and through trying in despair. Lord, you said 'turn our cares over to Thee'. Today, I shall obey. For, Thou art the truth, the lighted, and Glorious living way. Help me, Lord, not to try to help you do what I have turned over to Thee, Trusting in Thy Holy wisdom to look beyond and know what's best for me. Let me try Thee, dear Lord, as never have I, really, at all before. But, just let me turn loose all my cares and leave them at Your heart's door. |
