| Teach Me |
|
Teach me, Oh, Holy Spirit, Thy words so divine, Everything to understand in, this, my time. "Just a little milk, as a babe," said My Lord, at first. As we grow in His word, then for more we do thirst. Growing stronger each and every day, He dost teach So to prepare for His Kingdom. Lord, we to Thee do beseech. Thou said no man need teach us. So, may I understand Each and every thing You'd have me know, in this earthly land. I know the time will come, Lord, for all the confessing of Thy name. And, once we truly are one with Thee, we'll never be the same. With the sweetness of Thy word surging through our heart, The true oneness with Thy Holy Spirit, we'll never part. Going on to Glory, to be by Thy side, Lord, to worship Thee. Led by a band of Holy Angels, ever with Thee there to be There on that Heavenly shore, where cool, pure, waters dost flow; There, in blessed splendor, with our Savior we will go. No more pain or sorrow, no more heartache to be; For these things will have passed away. New things we will see, Watching for a new Heaven and earth. Lord, teach me All the things you'd have me know, and all You'd have me be. |
