| The Gift |
|
Thank you, my Lord, for words you gave me to impart. Please, forgive me for neglecting them for so long. As a little child, I knew, deep down, they were in my heart. But, somehow, I neglected using Your gift for so long. Oh, when will we learn to put pride behind us forever; To think not of what people will think, but trust in Thee - To somehow, the worldly things and thoughts to sever, And only then, by doing Your Will, can we truly be free? For all these years, I thought, "Surely, He doesn't mean this for me." But, over and over, my heart kept urging me, all the while, to write. And, when I began to truly listen, only then could I really see That my Lord wanted me to work for Him while in His Light. So, children of God, don't wait for the time to be just right. If you feel Him tugging and nudging deep inside your heart, Do His will now, while He waits, before the darkness of night - And He will lead and guide you and, from you, He'll never part. |
