The Purchased Price
The price to be paid is blood, water and life
On an old cross, the price did well suffice.
A crown of thorn, from the time He was born
He knew he would wear, as his people did mourn.

He knew very well, when He came to dwell
On this old earth that He'd die and conquer hell.
There was the price to pay, He saved the day,
As He kept loving us all and paving the way . . .

For a home up yonder, beyond the sky, so blue,
He paid the price for all. His love was true.
How His heart must have broken into that day
When He came to earth, to forever pave the way.

He was all covered in sin ~ yours and mine.
His Father couldn't look on Him while He was dying.
God couldn't look on sin, but just for a spell,
'Til His Son went down and conquered Satan and hell . . .

Only to arise again for all time, to forever be
The one to save our soul and win the Victory.
So let us come to Him now, down on bent knees
Forever willing and aiming, our Savior, to please.
