Downloading and printing
- The booklet can be downloaded in PDF and Publisher formats. To read PDF files, you need the
free Adobe Acrobat Reader
software installed on your computer. To read Publisher files, you
need Microsoft Publisher on your computer. (Microsoft, and many other software companies,
offer special pricing for non-profit organizations.)
- It is possible that with the Publisher version, your own personal computer settings or platform
may require you to make changes to font size or text frames to ensure the last line of text on a page
has not vanished. Proof-read carefully! This problem cannot happen with the PDF version.
- The necessary fonts are embedded in both file formats for you.
- Pagination is set so that the correct pages print in sequence. Of course, you must work out
which pages should print on the backs of the paper!
- Booklet is designed to print on either A4 or ‘Letter’ (8.5 x 11 inches) size
paper. It is best to use a long-arm stapler to join the pages.
- Ensure that your printer specifications are set correctly. Adobe Acrobat may print pages
slightly smaller than full-size. So check printer setup settings and Adobe toolbar settings to
enable full-size printing.
- To save a PDF file onto your computer hard disk, floppy disk, CD or memory stick, choose the
‘Save a copy’ icon at the top left of the Acrobat toolbar, which you will see when the Acrobat reader
appears within your browser and the booklet is downloaded. Alternatively, to save the file directly,
without viewing it, RIGHT-click the PDF link below, and choose where to save it.
- To save a Publisher file, left-click the links below, and choose where to save the file.
- Your feedback on how you use this book will be helpful, please
email us.
