My Valentines' Wish

On Valentines Day I do not wish for a bouquet of roses red,
Or a wooly, comfy, pretty cap, to wear upon my head.
I do not wish for chocolates, in a box shaped like a heart;
My only wish on Valentines is that we never more will part.

On Valentines Day all that I need is to know that you'll always care--
That you'll hold me close and whisper,"I love you and I'll always be here."

For our love cannot be measured by the gifts that we receive;
We'll love each other , though rich or poor,
And this we truly believe.

So on Valentine's Day this year, the only thing I'd like,
Is to have your arms around me, and hold me really tight.

Tell me that you love me, and treasure me as your wife;
Tell me there's no other, with whom you'd like to spend your life.
