Tears in a Bottle |
|
"Put thou my tears in a bottle, are they not in thy book?" Psalm 56:8 I believe our Lord sees every tear that falls as He looks from heaven's portals. He knows each sorrow of our heart and is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. When teardrops begin to fall, surely there must be angels also watching. Do you think our Lord sends them for our tears and puts them in heavenly bottles? Tears are said to be a language which only God understands. Only He can wipe away sorrow and hold us in the palm of His loving hand. When rivers of water seem to flow down from His children's eyes, God knows every heartache and is touched by the sound of each sigh or cry. Holy angels minister, in behalf of our Savior and Lord. Angels watch over us, until we receive our heavenly reward. I wonder if tears are saved, to be placed within a heavenly vial? Does God pour them out upon us in a blessing, in the fullness of His time? Those who weep for a night are promised joy when morning comes. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy, given by God's only Son. Tears are recorded in His Book, as we live in the narrow gospel way. We shall receive His promises and behold our Savior, some sweet day. "... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes." Revelation 7:17 |
