Walking Through The Waters

"When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee.
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee."

Isaiah 43:2

I've never walked on the water. But, I have felt the rising tide.
The swirling waves of danger, many times, have been all around.
I've never tread dark paths alone, as Jesus has been by my side.
Mercy has walked with me and God's goodness has always been found.

While walking through the waters of this life down here, below;
Many times, I have felt as if I would go under.
God's mighty hand has reached for me, with His loving grip of grace.
He has rescued me from danger of life's storms and rolling thunder.

When walking through the water, there is nothing we should fear.
We have His blessed promises and know He will be near.
He will walk with us, today, and, as He divided the waters of the Red Sea,
Our Lord still parts troubled waters; that his children might go free.

As in days of old, when we call upon our blessed Lord,
He answers and we have His Word; which is a mighty sword,
As we raise His banner higher and exalt His holy name.
We shall pass through life's troubled waters, as His promises we claim.
