| Amazing Love |
|
There are hideous crimes committed, Every hour of every day, Things we'd rather not hear about. But, the newsman has his way. Sometimes, we feel we can't bear it And it always seems much worse When the victim was an innocent Or God's name was used in the curse. There was One Who bled so freely, One Whose heart was pure and good, One who lived a life of purity - like Each knows we never could. This crime, so hideous to watch, Was performed by sinful men. Still, no one had the power To take His life from Him. He laid it down, of His own will, Complying with the Father. They knew the only hope for man Was there, in the gift He offered. He would die that we might live. He did it, still forgiving. All men's many, many, sins He bore to pay for living. So, we are gifted by His death, The splendid Hope of Heaven. Don't turn it down. The price was great. Amazing Love was given. |
