| Because |
|
Because the rain clouds cover Doesn't mean the sun's not there. Because the winter claims the earth Doesn't mean forever bare. For, when the Springtime comes, again, The flowers will appear. Because God says, "Wait awhile," Doesn't mean that He's not near ... Because the old time cherished ways Are voted down - dismissed, Because the double standard holds Means something is amiss. But, unless they chisel granite, Lest they have civil war, The Words are woven in the rights - Down to this country's core. God is standing by to see A few good men awake. God gives opportunity. For, He knows what's at stake. If we don't stand, tyrants will rule. But even if they vote God out, It doesn't cause His great authority To wane. Please, have no doubt! There still will come a day to stand, Because He said 'twould be. There, still, will stand a host to answer What we did with Thee. There, still, will be the gathering To the heart of God, His own. There, still, will come the Land of peace; When all the saints get home! |
