| Sentence Prayers |
|
I read it in Isaiah ~ That my name is in His hand; Engraved there and indelible, Always with Him in that land. And, I knew that you were burdened, That you really needed prayer. So, I wrote your name in my hand And I'm glad I put it there. For, the day went by as usual, Still reminded now and then. I would say a prayer with your name Ever in it. (You're my friend!) When, finally, it faded And it grew a little dim, I took my pen up (in my hand) And wrote it back, again! I know God heard the prayers I said. For, when you passed my way, The care lines melted from your face. It was a brighter day! There was a glow about you. Your step was lighter, too. And, I thanked God for a clever way Of remembering prayer for you! |
