Terror Strikes America

Have you ever really wondered what your loved one was doing,
When death struck so suddenly that day?
Do you suppose they were working or did they have a feeling
Some thing horrible was headed their way?

The ones in the towers were wiped out so suddenly
They barely had time to pray
.And the others who managed to flee to safety
Were so helpless they didn't know what to say.

As black clouds of darkness overcame those running
Their chance of escaping grew dim.
As the building collapsed, you could hear thousands screaming.
As "the shadow of death" covered them.

My heart cries out to the policemen and firemen
Who rushed to recover the lost.
But the concrete came tumbling and their lives also ended.
Regardless of whatever the cost.

So thousands today will never come back
What a terrible thing this must be,
For a Dad and a brother, a wife and a Mother,
Their loved ones they'll never more see.

But, underneath all the steel and the rubble
There is a payday for each person lost.
For one day they will shake hands with a man called Jesus.
And then it will be worth what it cost.

As for today, they are mixed up and lonely
And their hearts are so sick and sad.
But this pain will one day be over
For the little ones with no Mom or Dad.

As for now there are thousands of Angels
Keeping watch over them while they play.
Soon very soon, all the little ones
Will be with Mommy and Daddy to stay.

For the husband "WILL" find his wife again
And the sister "WILL" find her brother
A man "WILL" hold tight to his neighbor
While a young girl cries out, "There's my Mother!"

They will say, "We are so thankful to God that we made it.
No more bombing will we ever see,
No more death, fear or destruction,
We are in Heaven, and forever will be."
