Poems

Mothers Day ? BAH!
You don't feel like honoring me yearly?
Just remember, you are clearly
Teaching your own children how
To treat you when you're old and bowed.

Trapped in yesterday's weary woes
All you can see are the ends of your toes,
'Cause you're bent in pain and sorrow sad
Thinking of all you wish you'd had.

Letting memories make waste of today--
What a choice! Now let me say
Look to tomorrow! Freely forgive!
This is how you're intended to live.

And no matter if you think you hate,
I love you still, and it's not too late.
