| When This Day is Over |
|
The light, across the evening sky, Creeps silently away. Soon, night shadows fall, At the ending of the day. When the first star appears, I feel the pain in my heart. For, now, this day is over. It's time to make a new start. Today is just for goodbyes. Tomorrow the tears will fall. Remember, if you should need me, I'll be here when you call. As you take your flight back home, With my heart breaking in two, What will remain will be the memories Of the brief love I shared with you. The ocean may divide us, now. But, we still share the moon and the stars And I pray, one day ~ when the time is right, The whole of the world will be ours. |
