Because He Lives

Jesus came to save us from Satan and the pains of hell.
Dragging that heavy cross, He stumbled and fell.

His hands were nailed to a dogwood tree.
He took all of man's wrath and inequity ...

Accused falsely for things He didn't say or do;
Offering all Grace and Salvation to see us through.

In the garden of Gethsemane, He knelt and prayed on bended knee ~
So scared, He cried, "Father, take this cup away from me."

"Father, let not mine, but Thine will be done."
Be gone with evil. Let Satan flee, hide, and run.

Into His Father's hands His spirit did flow.
This happened over 2000 years ago.

He arose and came back, in Spirit,
For all people to walk on freedom's golden land.
His birth and resurrection, by the Father, was already planned.

Welcome Him into your heart and let Him live and stay.
Let us rejoice on this festive Easter Holiday.
