| My Three Heroes |
|
The first hero in my life was a Holy Man Without spot or blemish He is the Lamb of God, The great I Am, The Abba Father. I was so happy the day I became His daughter. Jesus came to set me free From sin and pain. He showed me that as I walk With Him, I will never be the same. With arms wide open He Let me enter that open door Faith, Hope, and Love Were mine forever more. Salvation and Grace are my reward Until the end of time These are gifts from the Father And they don't cost a nickel or a dime. My second hero was none other than My earthly Father A man of little words, When he opened his mouth to speak He was mild, kind, and meek. His words were very gentle And so serene They had meaning. He was quick witted never mean. He taught me to live with dignity and pride, To walk with the Lord by my side. To respect others and myself To abide by these virtues, Never to hide them on a shelf. My third hero is my husband And my best friend I will love him until my life On earth comes to an end. He has given me space and Lets me spread my wings and fly With tenderness he wipes away My tears when I cry. He never liked a title or wanted praise One Daughter was given And we both had a hand In how she was raised. Respecting others and Treating them all the same Never trying to get famous Or reach any fame. A man who works hard For every penny he earns From early morning until Midnight are his turns. Not a complainer , he accepts Every card he was dealt In his arms only comfort Is what I have ever felt. My three heroes have given me Happiness, peace and joy Teaching me never to act Smart or try to be coy. To, Robert (my Father) And Fred (my husband): I owe you, both, a deep abiding Devotion for all that You have given me. To Jesus: my life is yours until eternity. |
