| On Even Keel |
|
Lord, teach me to walk that narrow path And be on an even keel. Some days, I'm up and other days down; Just like a yo-yo is how I feel. Pull my strings and, with You, I'll be riding on high. Moon beams, rainbows, and Sparkling stars will light up the sky. Never let me fluctuate or go astray, Be deeply pitted in my heart, come what may. Grant me wisdom to do my very best. Let me go to the head of the class And pass every crucial test. When dark clouds come storming in, Throw me an anchor and let me swim. Give me the strength to witness And tell people about salvation ... That leads to a better life, That includes only You. Let them smell roses And taste the morning dew. Guide me down that narrow path And let me be on even keel. I'm on that mountain top and, Jesus, that's how You make me feel. |
