|A Rose for Jesus|
Jesus, Saviour, Lord, and King,|
This rose was given to You.
It's one You once made white,
And love turned it to blue.
For on the cross the price was paid,
For sin You didn't do,
And on Your head a crown of thorns,
Touched by the blood You shed,
Now grew a Rose between the thorns,
And it's a Rose of red.
The Rose of white showed purity,
And the blue Rose told of dread.
The red Rose show the love for us,
That saved our souls from death.
Now death and dread no longer
Holds it's curse upon our head.
For Christ who is our white Rose,
Is also our blue and red.
