| Bring it to the Obedience of Christ by Elena Ramirez |
|
Every thought, ever deed, No temptation can take lead Or succeed, as you bring it To the obedience of Christ. In His Sight, this is Right. If you learn to begin To give it all to him, He that dwells in your heart; He will not leave, He will not depart. He will take away that sin That tries to hinder your walk with him. That weight that bears mighty on your soul, He understands and can give you self~control. But, you must understand it is not you But his strength to carry you through. For, long ago, he died to set all free ... And, by the spirit, to see, To understand God Almighty has a plan And only with God, you can. For, your life was bought with a price, A great and mighty sacrifice, And, at the cross, he died to take the loss. Bring it to the obedience of Christ. Know that the consequences Of sin is death ... But life with Christ eternal And, with health, It is the greater wealth. Make the decision, Right here and right now, And, as you bow, Bring it to the obedience of Christ. Go to him, in that quiet place. There, he will give his grace. Offer him repentance and humbleness. Ask for strength and wisdom To refrain from sin. As you seek his Kingdom And his righteousness, You will find his blessed assurance So you can win. For, you can be free, and free indeed. No temptation, too great, will seal your fate; If you Know this before it is too late. Bring It To The Obedience Of Christ. II Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. I Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Father, My dear and sweet Father, I praise you and adore you for your great and loving prompting that reminds me to bring all of my cares, all of my needs, all of my fears, and all of my temptations, to the obedience of Christ. For, great was your son's sacrifice, and (as I grow closer, and closer, to you) I realize, how much sin hurts. For, each one of my sins were nailed to the cross and they hurt your son. All of our sins, did that. But, they also hurt us. Sin limits your grace, in our life. It limits, who we really can be and we do not flow in all the possibilities you have for us. And when we know the truth, and to let sin in, it is like saying we do not care what was done, on our behalf. You say, that the consequences of sin is death and that can be spiritual death, and physical death. Lord, we need to know, now, not to be led by the enemy, or it may be too late, for some. Lord, I pray, we begin to understand your ways, your truth, your commandments ... not some of them but all of them, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, that Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. I, so, want to live a life abundant and, with Christ, I can. I hereby Vow to bring it all to the obedience of Christ and, with your help, I can find my way. I can be delivered from any temptation, anything, that is not of you. For, greater are you, my Lord, who lives in me, than he that lives in the world. In Jesus name, Amen. Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. |
