Closer to Thee

Lord, Closer to thee is where I want to be.
I want to grow and to know my potential,
All that is able to be because of who you are in me.

I ask for direction and wisdom to see.
Cast the darkness away from me.

And all the while, I want to show my love for you
So glory can be given, as it is written.
Because, with you, I am living proof of how life can change
And be rearranged to know truth divine.

I pray, my heart is ever true, just for you.

Take away that which is not right, in your sight, from me
Because, Lord, I want to give all glory to thee.

Let the meditation of my heart be right in your sight.
In the day or in the night, I pray my Love shines bright.

Sweet as a summer breeze, all my troubles leave
When I look to the sky and behold
The grandness of your creation.

I won't look to the world's commotion.
But, with the sweetest devotion,
I dedicate my life to you.

And if I think about it, that's the best thing to do.
For, there is no one like you.

All of heaven and earth adore you Mighty, Mighty, King.
I offer my Love, my everything, as an offering.

Closer to thee, My God, is where I want to be.
For, I am Free and free, indeed.

This is where I want to be,
Now and for eternity; closer to thee.

Father,
I bless your name and offer my praise, and thanks, for all you are and all you do. How great you are! There is no one like you and the heavens declare your glory! May praise and thanks, be in our hearts, as we seek you, today.
Yes, closer to thee, my dear Lord, is where I want to be; ever close and near to you. I pray for rest, for the weary. I pray for "A" way, when there was no way ... for supernatural healing to come forth; for the sick in their health and their spirit ... for Those that are struggling with every day life and its challenges.
I pray, Father, that we would remember there is always a place at your feet ... a place of mercy, a place of rest, and the beauty of your holy majesty will surround us and comfort us, as we rest there; closer to thee.
Like a beautiful garden that your hands have touched, we can sense the serenity and the beauty of who you are, by the spirit, as we sincerely seek you, with all of our hearts, soul, and might.
How glorious to be in your care, to be loved and near the greatest power of life: You my Father, creator of heaven and earth. Yes, the creation longs to be near the creator; closer to thee.
Let us draw close to you and you will draw close to us.
In Jesus name, Amen.
