| Dad by George J Miller |
|
He was a vehicle for his eldest son, To understand how he wanted to raise his children. For his son left his father's shame behind him. What the son would have inherited, The anger, alcohol and unloving heart, Would be left in the past. That is the privilege of a son now a dad himself. To improve his children's lot in life. Oh! he was scarred for half his lifetime, By an intensely selfish father. But God had his way and loved him the latter half. Now God healed the wounds inflicted upon The son,to bring about the change. Placing the desire in the son's heart to Love his children, better than he was loved. Ending a generation of woundings. Giving the children's children more hope. For the son, now a dad, loved God, and taught his Children: that love for his God. Giving them God's love, a far cry From his early lifetime, an honour to his God. A most honourable glorifying of a personal Lord and Saviour, out of love. |
