| Do I dare to dream? by Gary Hall |
|
Do I dare to dream the dream of dreams, As it burns down in my soul? Do I dare to launch vibrant thoughts, As I share what my ears are told? Do I talk of youth and love of life, As it blossoms in my heart? Do I talk of stars and moonlit nights And walks out in the park? Do I share the love that I have grasp, Or the warmth my heart has felt? Do I talk of pain and burdens, strong, That's caused my heart to melt? Do I philosophise about trips abroad, Or talk of things untold? Or, do I grasp a pen and enter in To the sound that's in my soul? Do I share my thoughts with words of rhyme, Tell stories of another time? Do I describe flowers in the spring sublime, Or feel the breeze on the wings of time? Yes, I dare to venture With thoughts and words I see. For, the love that draws my pen to write Is the Spirit that lives in me. |
