I saw the light
by

Macalbert Kachi Allison

I saw the light
When His hands were nailed
To the old rugged cross
I saw the light
When He was striped
I saw the light
When He was crowned in thorns
I saw the light
When He asked the Father
To forgive mankind for we know not what we do
I saw the light
When Caiphas the priest, by spirit
Prophesizes it is expedient for one man to die for all
I saw the light
When darkness overtook the land
And the earth shook in awe
I saw the light
When finally Sunday morning came
To herald the dawn of a greater light
And praise God I saw the light.
