LONGEVITY by
George J. Miller

I don't have much longer in this life.
I guess asking someone to share it with me,
would be a joke.
I'd be dead before someone really got to know
me well enough to love.
Still, I'd be known as a passing moment,
a blink of an eye,
a hardy hi! ho! silver, awayyy!
even he passed on into obscurity, oblivion.
I wonder if he outlived his horse?
