POEMS

Moses and Words

When words are hard to say,
And you can't find the clue,
Remember you are not alone,
For others struggle, too.

Many years ago,
When Moses was alive,
He was often angry,
When words would not arrive.

God had plans for Moses
But Moses said, "Not me!
For I can't speak wise words,
I'm as dumb as dumb can be.."

Then God got really mad,
And said that was not true.
He reminded Moses,
"Trust me, I'll help you."

No, it was not easy.
But God helped him speak.
So Moses spoke hard words,
and felt not like a freak.

So please don't be afraid,
And never, ever quit.
Even if you stutter,
Or your mouth begins to spit.

God knows how you feel,
And you are not alone,
So practice, practice, practice -
at school and in your home.
