MR.SOMEBODY
Please protect this child from the angry hand
Please make mommy and daddy understand
That they are just little ones and don't mean to do wrong
Please Mr. Somebody hear their song
Tell mommy to be patient as she can be
Tell daddy to open his eyes and see
Tell the world to notice the pain in their eyes
Please answer their questions why
They are trying too
They just don't know what to do
They are quiet now for there is footsteps at the door
Please hurry for they can take no more.
Tiny hands fighting against the blows
What these children endure no one knows
They teach them
Things a child should never understand
Like the destruction of lust
And the sting of an angry hand
Their laughter turns to tears
The joy into pain
The trust or innocence
Never to be the same
They live in a home
Of secrets and lies
A place not safe
Where reality dies
Different hands take out emotions
On an unprotected source
Hitting and touching
With no remorse
With eyes turned away not daring to face
The pain of the actions
Of the these within our human race
Someday I will get bigger and go away
The child whispers, " Someday "
They will understand and not hide from you
And the things you do
Someday became a dream
And a goal to obtain
Not knowing this is not normal
But insane
Now they lay upon a hospital bed
The pain of betray screwing up their head
Their little bodies tattered and tore.
Their little heart shattered
For everyone turned away and
Did not show them that they mattered
