| Spring is here by Jacklynn MacKenzie |
|
Springtime is here at last, Though the snow still covers the ground; Little sprouts I see, New life around me abounds. Soon a palette of yellow, purples and reds, Will blossom forth in my flower beds, The crocus, daffodils and tulips now grow Where once the garden was blanketed in snow. In the warm Spring breeze the flowers sway, Just admiring their beauty Takes my breath away. The birds, so joyful Greet me each morning with a song: So glad they are that Spring is here, After a Winter so cold and long. |
