| Steps to Nowhere by Robert H. Gilbert Jr. |
|
We walk many miles to, somewhere, Where we are not sure. When we get there, we turn And come back to where we were ... Never looking at what we are missing It's many steps from where we are to Nowhere, But only a step or two To Hell's fire, or Heaven's door. We are always in a hurry to get there. But, where is there? Why is it so important to go anywhere? We only have to look in the mirror, at our soul. It's only a step or two To Hell's gate or Heaven's gold. Why do we keep searching for something, When there is nothing to search for. Why do we walk all those miles? It's only the same when we get there ... 'Cause, its only a step or two To Hell's gate or Heaven's shore. |
