Just outside my window, in earth still cold from snow,
The dainty little crocus lifts its head from far below.
All winter long it slept 'midst winters chilling breeze,
Heaped on top with ice, snow and frost,
It longed to be set free...
Free to push its head up to herald the coming spring,
To feel the gentle warmth of the sun and welcome the birds that sing.
Sing of the summer coming, of budding trees and flowers,
That bring contentment to everyone through warm and sunny hours.
The crocus in your garden is not just any flower-
Its special, for it welcomes spring and gives us trust in a Highter Power.
A greater power, which comes from Above-
That greater power, the power of Gods love.
For if God can bring the crocus to bloom---
Though all around there is cold and gloom-
Just think of the wonders He can do for you-
For He made a promise long ago, that is still so very true.
A promise He would never leave,
A promise He'd be with you-
A promise that wherever we are, He would be there too.
But like the fragile crocus, we must let God have His way;
He'll nurture us and love us each and every day;
Most of all He'll take us Home, to be with Him forever,
To live with Him through Eternity, for His promises fail never.
So when you see the crocus bloom, remember the message it brings--
That your loved ones live in paradise in the "Land of a Thousand Springs".
They , like the crocus, blossomed on Earth and partook of its many
pleasures;
They felt the warmth of the sun on their face and walked through a world offering so many treasures--
The oceans and rivers, the hilltops and vales; the tall trees of the forest, the deer, the fox, the whales.
The sun to warm the daytime,l and the moon to light the night,
All of these are precious gifts and we're precious in His sight.
Just as the little crocus blooms in your garden, or by the road,
How much more splendid must Gods Garden be,
With your loved one sharing His Heavenly abode!
Garden be, with your loved one sharing His Heavenly abode! |
