| The Shortest Ride by Robert H. Gilbert Jr |
|
We travel many miles, on vacation. We travel to and from work. There is beautiful scenery, along the way. Why don't we stop and view? We take many shortcuts, Just to save a little time. So, what do we do when we get there? Do we gossip about others or Do we think about calling a friend? We spend our time foolishly, Thinking of things we can't control. Everyday is a new beginning, For the young as well as the old. The last ride you take will be a short one. No detours will be allowed. There may be many. There may be few. But, the trip you will take is for sure. There will be flowers you can't smell. There will be crying you can't hear. If you are true to Him, there you will be. But for me, it's a vision I long to see. |
