Truth
by

George J. Miller

Sometimes vague, opaque.
At other times startlingly obvious.
We seek it within ourselves, others,
When found we tend to deny it.

Frustrated, angry, we hide our shame.
When we realize its been there all the while.
It is extremely painful and brutal at times,
For many refuse to see it, or hear it.

Fear may keep us from recognizing it,
For we don't know what will come next.
It is a medium of spiritual growth,
A destroyer of the self.

Few dare to embrace it, or its partner, knowledge.
Yet, God's highest order of it
Is His wisdom.

Speak it, be it, ive it, one of three.
You already have the way, and the light.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth,
is come, he will guide you into all truth: for
he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will
shew you things to come."

John 16:13

"Who hath also sealed us, and given the
earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."
11 Corinthians 1:22
