| And Then He Spoke |
|
As I knelt to pray, I began my petition, "Please, hear me, Father, As I give voice to this condition. A friend has a deep need And asked that I intercede." As I began to tell All that I knew, Speaking from my heart As I had learned to do. Then, I became quiet, Listening for His precious word. Then, He spoke "Yes, my child. I have heard. Long before the earth Was set into its place, I saw this situation. I even knew their face. Rest assured, my child, Nothing escapes my mind. In the long time ago, I planned. Tell them look to me, answers to find." "But, Father I began, again. They want me to hear from You So that I can give the answer As to what they, now, should do. I don't want to let them down. They are counting, now, on me. That's why I've come, again, To enter, one more time, their plea." I paused and, then, I waited. The room was quiet and still. Then, he spoke, again, "They need to seek my will. It's not you, my child, They should count on, 'tis me. Sometimes, they need to do the trusting And on my word they should feed. You have done your part As, in intercession, you do obey And you've heard from me. They need to hear just what I say. The answers that they seek Are written in my word to open. Search and they shall find The answers that I have spoken." TELL THEM Prayer of intercessions Have been offered up for you. This warrior has been faithful. The rest is up to you to do. Tell them, seek me while I can be found. I hold all things within my hand. Search and try me. See what I have planned. I FOUND, As warriors we can intercede. But they must trust Him all the way, While we, in loving vigil, keep; They must seek Him every day. For, if we do all the praying, Then they have missed a blessing. They do right in asking and We are blessed in intercessing. But, when we have done our part, Then we leave the rest to Him. For the answer, They must seek His heart. |

INTERCESSION IS A CALLING I have noticed that many ask for prayer, who are lost and they don't know how to gain the ear of God. and they depend on us for the answers. But God has laid upon my heart, that they need to find Jesus in His grace for themselves. As I have seen with my own children, they ask for prayers for other people too, and they don't walk with the Lord. So, they depend on me. I of course pray their need, but I have to tell them always, that they need to look to Jesus for themselves. I tell them very often, God doesn't have any grandchildren. I never turn down another's request, but in all their need, they need Jesus. THUS HE SPOKE I WAS THEIR BEGINNING WILL THEY BE WITH ME AT THE END. | ||
