| Brave Words Of A Loser |
|
If, when I'm gone, You choose to think of me ... Remember, if you will, the time I started out to be the best And couldn't make the climb. Think how, when I tried to help The ones I loved along, Words, always well meant But somehow, came out wrong. Remember when I tried to bake That perfect tasty treat And how we sat and laughed When it wasn't fit to eat? Or, when I ran for President Of the local P.T.A. And didn't get one vote, Not even my own they say. When it's all been said and done And the tears have all been cried, Let my epitaph so read, "Well, at least, she tried." |
