| Grandpa Is Leaving |
|
3rd in the series of Little Andy Talks With God LITTLE ANDY III Hi there, Mr. God. I am feeling awful sad. Grandpa's so sick and Daddy says it's really really bad. Mommy and daddy have been crying. They say he's gonna leave. I don't know where he's goin'; But not heaven, they say,'cuz he don't 'believe'. I don't understand that, at all, do You? Grandpa's really nice, and all; Something about he didn't give his heart To Jesus at some altar call. Please Mr. God, You love everyone. You must love grandpa, too. Could you give him one more chance, So he can do what he needs to do? Grandma's always prayin' And calling out grandpa's name. If grandpa isn't going to heaven, Things won't be the same. I'm sure he's a list'ning. Could You call him, one more time? He is so quiet and sick. Maybe, You can make him feel fine? Please, Mr. God, it's your house. Can't he, please, come in? Daddy says he needs forgiveness To take away his sin. So, please, let him come there; If you would, please, Sir ~ So when the time comes for grandma, He wants to be with her. I guess I don't really know What this is all about. I just know I love grandpa And I don't want him left out. I'm going to talk to him And tell him to speak to You. Will that be good enough, Mr. God, So he can come and live with you, too? I'm sure gonna miss him. I feel like I'm going to cry. Please, Mr. God, Oh, please, Don't let my grandpa die. Well, I gotta go, now. Daddy says were going to pray with him, That someone, called the Holy Ghost, Will take away his sin. I sure hope that happens. I know you'd want that, too. So, help my grandpa find his way To heaven ~ to be with you. Tell Jesus I said 'hi' and Give him a hug, from me. Thanks. I love You. From your friend, little Andy. |
