Mom's Mad

2nd in the series of Little Andy Talks With God
LITTLE ANDY (II)
Hello, God. It's me again,
Little Andy,
And, boy, is mommy mad!

Hi there, Mr. God.
It's me, little Andy, again.
I think mommy's really mad at me
'Cause she said, "Just you wait
Until your dad gets home, you'll see."

Mister God, I'm not really sure
Just what I must of did ~
'Less she found the broken vase,
Under the couch, I hid.

Mister God, I didn't mean to break it.
You see, I was jumpin' up and down,
And mommy seen me doing it,
And she had on her 'head ache frown'.

I guess I should've stopped.
But when she left the room,
I jumped, one more time (well, maybe, two)
And the vase went kaboom.

You see, Mr. God,
It's hard to be a little kid, you know,
And, when I'm not good, mommy says,
"Andy, your good manners didn't show."

Sometimes, daddy calls me
Her little man and says, "If any one
Can make her smile, little Andy can."

I s'pose it won't work, this time,
'Cuz mommy is so upset
And, when I broke that vase,
I got the table and carpet wet.

Hey, Mr. God, I'm really sorry
'Cuz I don't want to be bad
And, when mommy gets mad,
It makes me feel so sad.

Sometimes, being a kid is tough.
I don't s'pose Jesus ever broke a vase
And, when I tell a fib,
Mommy says it shows on my face.

I wish I was good, like Jesus,
And be just like He was.
But, somehow, Mr. God, I can't do it.
Don't know why, just 'cause.

I love you, Mr. God.
I hope you love me, too.
I'll try harder, cross my heart,
To do better than I usually do.

Have a real good day up there.
Tell the angels 'hi', from me. Okay?
I'll be back later, Mr. God,
And thanks for list'in today.

Well, Sir, I gotta go.
Dad will be home real soon.
I gotta learn a new song. Mommy says
I'll be singing a differn't tune.

I don't know what that means.
But, she said and that makes it so.
And, I hear her calling.
So, I gotta run and go.

Bye, for now.
Tell Jesus and His mom 'hello',
From little Andy, Sir.
Mommy will talk to you, a little later.
I'm sure you're gonna hear from her!

I'M SO SORRY.
