Hello, Mr. God. It's me, little Andy. Momma says you wrote a book That has answers for all my need. I jest look at the pictures, for now, Seein's how I can't read. The pictures are really pretty. I like that Moses and he looks so cool, ok? Did Jesus take your book for show and tell, When he went to school, one day? Momma likes reading from your book Even better than watchin' the TV. But, I don't see why. Though, she says, someday, I will see. I s'pose you wrote a real good book. Did you write my Barney books, too? I really like them, a lot. I bet Jesus likes them, jest like I do. Daddy reads your book, at the table, Before we get to eat. Sometimes, I can't sit still. Momma says I got jiggling feet. Oh, Mr. God, it's not That I don't like your book. I don't know what it says, at all, Except for the pictures that you took. Momma says, "Little Andy, I'm going to raise you in God's word." I sure hope that's a good idea 'Cause, she meant everything I heard. The other day, I got in trouble and She said "Andy what's with you, today?" I started crying, 'cause I didn't know. Then, she said, "What would Jesus say?" Somehow, when I'm bad, It upsets Jesus, too. Oh, Mr. God, tell him I am sorry, Please. I didn't mean to hurt you. Sometimes, she s'plains the stories So I can know what she read to me. I like the one she told me, today, About a little short guy up in a tree. Yesterday, she told me about a young boy. David was his name and He was so good, And how he used a sling shot to kill a bad giant 'Cause he wouldn't do what he should. Someday, when I can read, I'm gonna read your book. I need to grow up some. But, for now, I jest look at the pictures that you took. Well, Mr. God, I gotta go. How's the family? Tell them all I said, "Hi ya. From me, little Andy." |
