Church Family

There are many lonely people
In this old world.
They sit home and dwell
On the loneliness they feel.

Some go to the centers and
Play cards or games all day,
Just another boring day
To pass the time away.

I have a church family and
I love the people like family.
There is so much that goes on,
I have to pick and choose
What is expected of me
Or what I would like to do.

In a church family,
You make lots of friends.
When lonely, pick up the phone
Or run out to see them.

God is so good
To give us a spiritual family
That reaches out to those
Who cannot come in.

On Sunday, we worship
And what a joy that is
To sing God's praises and
Fellowship with them!

With age, I am more thankful
For all the church family.
Love your blood relatives
And be sure you forgive.

Life is so short,
Regardless of how long we live.
Go to church and find your spot.
You will not be lonely again.
